Sherree Hoskins is a lifelong sports and fitness enthusiast with a passion for motivating and helping others attain their health and fitness goals. She holds a bachelors degree in Exercise and Sports Science, a minor in Supervision and a Coaching Endorsement from Purdue University. In addition, Sherree was recruited and awarded a full-ride athletic scholarship to play field hockey at Purdue, where she served as captain her senior year and was named to the All Big Ten Team earning MVP honors as well as the Red Mackey Award for excellence in athletics. She went on to play and coach for several years in the Olympic Developmental Field Hockey Program participating in the 1987 Pan-Am Games trials as well as the 1986 & 1987 U.S. Olympic Festivals, winning silver and bronze medals respectively.
Sherree Hoskins’ Certifications
Sherree is a NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp Instructor, an ACE Gold Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. She has over 26 years of experience in the fitness industry and currently owns and operates Custom Fit, a personal training business that specializes in in-home training for clients of all calibers ranging in age from 9 to 90.
Sherree Hoskins’ expertise includes working with children and teenagers, elite athletes, rehabilitative clients, senior citizens and clients desiring an overall improvement in general health and fitness. She offers a vast array of specialized training programs including weight management and nutritional counseling, sports-specific conditioning, speed and agility programs, core and functional training, youth fitness, special needs clients, and fitness consulting services including home gym design, selection and set-up.
In 2005, she developed and piloted a special strength training program at The Cancer Support Community, a non-profit organization in Bedminster, for people undergoing treatment for cancer as well as post-treatment participants and their caretakers. She is very proud to say that the program continues to grow nationally as well as a second location at the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville.
On the corporate level, Sherree has taken on the role of fitness consultant for GE Healthcare on both the Princeton and Piscataway campuses. In addition, she coached field hockey for four years at The Pingry School, in Martinsville, and recently resigned after eight years as assistant coach for the varsity softball team. Her coaching days, however, are far from over, as she greatly enjoys coaching both her son and daughter’s sports teams. In addition, Sherree still finds time to play competitive softball and flag football when she’s not training or coaching!!
